BioTech 2020 and 8th Czech-Swiss Symposium with exhibition will cover all important aspects of advanced biotechnologies. Attention will be paid to the key technologies playing important role in bio-based economies. Microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast, and microalgae, and their enzymes, as well as mammalian cells are used for manufacturing a wide range of products in sustainable, forward-looking bioprocesses. These products represent high-performance chemicals or ingredients in demand for foodstuffs, animal feed, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Lectures will be organized in following sessions:
Selection criteria for oral and poster presentations will be based on novelty, potential for practical application and scientific merit. The official conference language will be English.
All abstracts will be published in a Book of abstracts (with ISBN).
Selected reviews derived of oral presentations will appear in a Special Issue of the journal of Biotechnology Advances (Elsevier, ISSN 0734-9750, 2018 IF: 12.831). Biotechnology Advances is a review journal which considers all aspects of the multidisciplinary field.
Selected conference contributions will be given opportunity to publish in a Special Issue of Folia Microbiologica (Springer, ISSN 0015-5632; 2018 IF: 1.448). Folia Microbiologica is a journal which publishes articles on general, soil, medical and industrial microbiology, plus some branches of immunology.
Selected conference contributions will be given opportunity to publish in a Special Issue of Antibiotics (MDPI, ISSN 2079-6382; 2018 IF: 2.921). Antibiotics is an open access, peer reviewed journal on all aspects of antibiotics. Antibiotics is a multi-disciplinary journal encompassing the general fields of biochemistry, chemistry, genetics, microbiology and pharmacology. A discount on the open-access publication fee can be offered to each participant.
Specialised workshops and round-table discussions can be organized upon request to further strengthen relationship between industry and academia.
As a platform for personal, scientific, technical and commercial contacts, this highly interactive event will foster new collaborations and provide opportunities for the fruitful continuation of long-term relationships between Czech- and Swiss-based biotechnologists, participants from other countries are also welcomed.
